The Human Resources Generalist will direct and coordinate human resources initiatives, support and coordinate with the Safety Director and perform other administrative tasks as assigned to ensure a positive experience for current and potential employees.

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist will lead human resources efforts and assist with safety functions to provide timely and accurate support services to management. This individual will play a key role in assisting existing team members as well as recruiting and onboarding new employees while keeping Yoe’s people-focused culture at the forefront of all interactions.
Human Resources Support
- Direct and coordinate human resources initiatives
- Develop, maintain and administrate company policies
- Update and maintain company employee handbook
- Prepare, maintain and update employee records
- Administer employee status, record keeping and benefits programs
- Assist in recruiting, selecting, orienting and training new team members
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements
- Assist in monitoring on an annual basis, all products, reports and services related to and necessary for company support including but not limited to:
- Health insurance
- Dental insurance
- Life Insurance
- Simple IRA
- Disability program
- Paid time off
- Unemployment
Safety Coordination
- Coordinate with the Safety Director
- Assist with new employee safety orientation
- Schedule new employee DOT physical exam and drug screen
- Coordinate review of respiratory questionnaire
- Set-up online/computer safety training and print certificates
- Help coordinate and track all testing, training, reporting and online record keeping

Experience/Requirements
Competencies

Required Education and Experience
- Four (4) year degree
- Three (3) or more years of experience in human resources
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
