Concrete Estimator/Project Manager Responsibilities

The Concrete Estimator/Project Manager will lead projects from estimating through final delivery, creating lasting relationships with customers and working closely with Yoe team members, subcontractors and vendors to deliver value and project success.

Interaction with Clients & Customers

  •  Effective communication
  •  Timely response to requests
  •  Discuss any changes in scope with costs associated

Interaction with Subcontractors & Suppliers

  • Sub-contracts and purchase orders
  • Submittals
  • Change Orders
  • Schedules
  • Quality monitoring and punch lists

Interaction with Project Foreman

  • Review weekly job costs and total man-hours with General Superintendent and Project Foreman
  • Communicate daily with Project Foreman
  • Visit each project to observe job progress

Project Management

  • Perform Invoicing
  • Document, prepare and communicate change orders to clients/owners
  • Maintain project file with all important documents and correspondence

Securing Production Work

  • Staying current with bid opportunities available
  • Understanding each phase of a job and how work will be completed

Estimating Design-Build Projects

  • Participate as a key individual in client sales presentations
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Maintaining a list of qualified viable vendors, subcontractors and suppliers for each trade
  • Estimate breakdowns for job costings prior to project commencement

Transferring Estimate to Job

  • Coordinate startup meeting with General Superintendent and Foreman

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Supervisory construction experience
  • Experience as a qualified competent lead person
  • Basic first aid training*
  • OSHA training*
  • MSHA Part 46 training*

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a drug test and background check, where applicable.

*Company will provide for selected applicant as needed.

Travel may include being gone for extended periods of time depending on the project location and time to complete the job. Extended regional area travel may be up to three weeks gone before coming home. Other jobs, travel may be defined as leaving on Sunday evening or Monday morning and coming home Friday.
