Fabrication Shop Industrial Painter Responsibilities:

  • Prepare unit and/or parts for paint process.
  • Apply coatings according to product data sheets using full range of application methods.
  • Performs painting process in accordance with required quality standards.
  • Proper labeling and storage of paint and painting products.
  • Clean and maintain all painting equipment, filters, and paint booth.
  • Requisitions paint and other related supplies to maintain correct inventory level.
  • A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
  • Timely completion of all assigned projects.
  • Properly dispose of hazardous paint and paint waste materials.
  • Working in shop running saw or helping with getting jobs prepared for fabrication when there is no painting.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Must have one year experience with industrial painting
  • Continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable standing 8-12 hours a day, lifting 50 lbs., working from ladders, heights, and in all types of weather
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a drug test
